That feeling after class—challenged but not crushed, sweaty yet somehow energized—isn’t a coincidence. Every Vie workout is built with intention, shaped by science, and grounded in a deep understanding of the women we serve.

This blog takes you behind the scenes of how Vie Athletics’ workouts are built, the team who designs them, and the coaches who help make them meaningful. Because at Vie, nothing is left to chance.


A Purposeful Approach to Progress


Vie is built for women—in every season, at every stage.


Our four-week training cycle weaves together strength, conditioning, and mobility. There is a rotating daily focus that may include lower body, upper body, core stability, isometric strength, unilateral movements, explosive power, or endurance. Whether you’re walking through the doors twice a week or five, your training will be purposeful, balanced, and progressive.

We train with intention using Zones 3–5 of cardiovascular intensity (learn more) to build aerobic capacity, mental resilience, and metabolic health, without overtaxing the body. Layered into that are strength blocks that emphasize progressive overload (gradual increase of intensity) and recovery. 

Plyometric work is programmed mindfully, offering both high-impact and low-impact options. Bone density, joint stability, and connective tissue strength matter just as much as heart rate. Through it all, we prioritize recovery as a partner to intensity, because progress isn’t a sprint; it’s a rhythm.

Every workout includes pre-planned modifications. Members can preview movements and modifications prior to coming to class via our daily digital demonstrations; and our coaches are trained to adapt and personalize movements on the spot. We’re ready to meet you where you are.

This is programming that listens and responds. It adapts. It celebrates.


The Process:
From Idea to The Floor


Every Vie workout is drafted, peer-reviewed and approved by members of our 5-person programming team. Workouts are rigorously tested for safety, appropriate challenge level, pacing, and flow. We also test for coachability–will our coaches be able to effectively cue each movement and provide appropriate modifications?

Then, the magic meets the lens. The daily menu is filmed so members have an understanding of the workout’s format, exercises and modifications prior to even stepping foot in the door.

The last step happens on the gym floor. Our qualified coaches bring the workout to life—offering members clear instruction, personalized modifications, and ongoing encouragement from start to finish.

She’s fully committed to creating workouts that challenge you without draining you. Her programming is equal parts brain and heart—and if you’ve ever left class feeling strong and steady, you’ve felt her fingerprint.

Bri is a walking blend of discipline and depth. From triathlons to taekwondo, from yoga to massage therapy, she understands movement from every angle—and she brings that knowledge into every rep she writes. Her programming feels like a conversation between your body and your future: thoughtful, challenging, and fiercely protective of your potential.

Gina has been in the game long enough to know what works—and is kind enough to care how it feels. Her programming is clean, powerful, and smart. She builds strength with strategy, layering progress in a way that challenges without overwhelming. If you’ve ever finished class thinking, “That was hard—but I want more,” you’ve probably met one of her workouts.

Hannah brings the heat—literally. As a firefighter and lifelong athlete, she’s mastered the balance of intensity and calm. Her workouts are bold, clear, and grounded in her belief that effort builds confidence. She’s the quiet strength in your corner—programming with purpose and a deep understanding of what women are capable of. Her guiding mindset? “You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved.”

  • Film/commercial credits: Apple, Microsoft, Twin Peaks

Lorraine brings art to the science. With a dancer’s discipline and a storyteller’s intuition, she ensures our daily demo videos are not just accurate, but approachable. Her work is what helps members feel calm, prepared, and confident long before they walk into the studio. If the workout is a song- she’s the one tuning the notes.


Vie Coaches:
The Thread That Ties It All Together


Our coaches go through a five-stage in-house certification process. It begins with Vie University—our digital learning platform that covers everything from anatomy and physiology to Vie culture and coaching philosophy. They learn how to lead effective warmups and cooldowns, and how to assist members in modifying movements, including for pregnancy and postpartum. Coaches then enter a mentorship phase, shadowing veteran leaders on the floor while developing their own voice and confidence.

Along the way, they complete a CPR certification, attend movement clinics led by Vie-approved physical therapists, and participate in barbell training—all paid for and supported by Vie. Coaching here is not just a role, it’s a craft. And we believe the women who walk through our doors deserve nothing less than excellence.
