How long have you been a member at Vie Athletics?
I’ve been a member of Vie since August 2018.
What do you think about while you work out?
I completely zone out when I work out! I really just focus on breathing and trying not to fall down!
What is your gym necessity?
I recently discovered Zella workout gear! It’s nice quality and not too clingy- I’m not quite ready for body hugging shirts yet.
What is your best piece of advice for other Vie Girls?
My best piece of advice is that no matter how old or out of shape you think you are, it’s never too late to change bad habits. I changed my diet to eating clean and started working out 3 days a week and I’ve lost 65 pounds in 7 months. It’s really quite simple, not always easy, but it works.
What motivates you to show up for class?
My 2 daughters have been my best cheerleaders. They both did ballet for 15 years so they know a lot about nutrition, fitness, and self discipline. They’ve been instrumental in my journey, couldn’t have succeeded without them.
How has Vie impacted your life?
I love Vie and all the Tacoma coaches! They’ve been so helpful and supportive and I actually enjoy working out now. The first few weeks were pretty tough, but I’ve made a lot of progress and getting up at 5 am is just part of my routine now. I feel stronger and have a lot more energy and shopping for clothes is actually fun again!
